The Insider LowDown: NFL Tickets Center Outlook: Chris Redman has played only two games in his young career, but was handed the starters role as the Ravens released Elvis Grbac earlier this summer. After his week one performance against the Carolina Panthers, we can safely assume that Chris Redman has the talent to be a starting quarterback in the NFL. But, what waits to be seen, is if the rest of the offense will respond to his leadership on the field. With a young quarterback at the helm, Jamal Lewis and Brandon Stokely will have to step up their play if the Ravens intend to be competitive. Two years ago, the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl due to their defensive tenacity. Their defensive catalyst Ray Lewis looks to have another outstanding year (196 tackles in 2001) on his way to another Pro Bowl. If Peter Boulware and the rest of the Ravens defensive line can put pressure on the opposing teams quarterback then look out. Although most analysts have shut the door on the Baltimore Ravens, this team could be playoff bound if Chris Redman and Jamal Lewis have a good year. |
