After signing No. 1 overall pick David Carr (sidearm and all) to a seven year $60M contract (with $10.9M up front) there is almost no doubt that Carr will be the starter for the Houston Texans come opening week. With Don Capers and Chris Palmer calling the shots look for David Carr to have a stellar rookie season and prove many of his critics wrong.
With Tony Boselli practicing regularly and James Allen (RB) looking to have a breakout year everything seems to be falling into place for the Houston Texans. The only question the Texans need to answer is at the wide receiver position where there is considerable inexperience. If Bradford, Gideon, or Gaffney step up early, look for David Carr to have a phenomenal year and lead the Texans to the playoffs in their inaugural season.
