The Insider LowDown: NFL Tickets Center Outlook: The Jacksonville Jaguars had a tough season opening loss to the Indianapolis Colts (28-25) on Sept 8, 2002. Mark Brunell and the rest of the Jaguars roster will be looking to rebound with a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs (Sept 15, 2002) before they return home to play the New York Jets on Sept. 29, 2002. Coach Tom Coughlin will need to inspire his roster instead of benching them for in-game mistakes (punt returner Damon Gibson). Good coaching can only go so far. Talent can only go so far. But, without inspiration the Jacksonville Jaguars will go nowhere. The Jaguars can certainly play competitively and finish the season with a winning record. But continued solidarity at quarterback (Mark Brunell), an established running game (Fred Taylor), and good coaching by Tom Coughlin could certainly find the Jacksonville Jaguars ending their season in San Diego (site of this years Super Bowl) rather than Indianapolis (last regular season game). |
