The Insider LowDown: NFL Tickets Center Outlook: By acquiring Ricky Williams in the off-season the Miami Dolphins have suddenly become a divisional and Super Bowl contender. In the Dolphins first game against the Detroit Lions, Ricky Williams had an outstanding game (20 car 110 yards 2TDs) leading the Dolphins to an 49-21 victory. Jay Fiedler has grown leaps and bounds from the turbulent season he had a year ago (19 INT). The addition of offensive coordinator Norv Turner should aide in Fiedler's development into one of the leagues premier quarterbacks. Norv Turner's system has churned out superstars such as Troy Aikman. Turner's detail-oriented system will pay dividends in the end and the Dolphins will find themselves in contention for the Super Bowl much sooner than critics/rivals thought possible. Unfortunately the Miami Dolphins were given the most difficult division when teams were realigned. Especially with Buffalo picking up Drew Bledsoe in the off season. If the Dolphins can get key divisional wins (against the New York Jets, New England Patriots, and the Buffalo Bills) early in the season then the Miami Dolphins could easily find themselves with home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. At least three teams from this conference will make the playoffs, key victories early in the season will make sure the Dolphins are one of them. |
