    Newsworthy

After missing a two-point conversion early in the fourth quarter, the New York Giants lost a heartbreaker to the Tennessee Titans 32-29 in OT on Dec. 1, 2002. Kerry Collins (QB) had a solid game throwing for 283 yards and two touchdowns. The Giants will look to get back into the playoff picture with a victory over the Washington Redskins on Dec. 8, 2002.

Dan O'Leary (TE/Long Snapper) was signed from the practice squad on Dec. 1, 2002. To make room on the active 53-man roster the Giants waived long snapper Bob Jones.

Derek Dorris (WR) was signed to the active roster from the practice squad on Nov. 17, 2002. To make room on the 53-man active roster the Giants waived Tony Simmons (WR). Simmons was later re-signed on Nov. 20, 2002. To make room on the 53-man active roster the Giants waived Tim Rouen (P).

    The Insider LowDown:
    NFL Tickets Center Outlook:

Coach Jim Fassel is taking a chance on Johnnie Lynn who is a first-time NFL defensive coordinator. But with Michael Strahan (who set the NFL record for sacks last year) and a slew of other defensive monsters my money's on Johnnie Lynn.  The biggest defensive question will be Jason Sehorn and if he can keep up with Terrell Owens in the season opener on Sept. 5. Coming back from rehabilitative surgery on his right knee

Coming off of a 7-9 season leaves the New York Giants with high expectations. The loss of many key players including Jessie Armstead (LB) will definitely make this season more intresting. Kerry Collins, Amani Toomer and Ike Hillard will have to have record years if the Giants have any chance of making the playoffs.
