Mike Richter (G) was sidelined indefinitely after suffering a concussion on November 5, 2002 against the Edmonton Oilers. He has missed the last 11 games due to the injury.

Eric Lindros (C) was ejected on Oct. 15 against the Maple Leafs after he was called for ramming Wade Belak into the boards. Lindros has already been suspended for high-sticking Montreal's Stephane Quintal and was given a major penalty for boarding with a game misconduct suspension
