Rich Gannon (QB) and the Oakland Raiders will look to gain the inside track for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a victory over the Denver Broncos on Dec. 22, 2002.

Rich Gannon (QB), Jerry Rice (WR), Barret Robbins (C), Lincoln Kennedy (OT), and Rod Woodson (S) were selected to the 2003 Pro Bowl .

Tim Brown (WR) became the third player in NFL history with 1000 catches in the Raiders 26-20 victory over the New York Jets on Dec. 2, 2002. The other players include teammate Jerry Rice (WR) and Cris Carter (WR) of the Miami Dolphins.

Jerry Rice (21,281 total yards) broke Walter Payton's (21,264 total yards) record for most yards from scrimmage against the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 29, 2002. (all-time record)
