Lavar Arrington, Washington Redskins (LB) and former linebacker for the Nittany Lions, was escorted out of the stadium for yelling at referees during the game.
Joe Paterno went up and grabbed an official by the shoulder after Saturdays loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes. When asked by the media in a post-game conference he said he thought the officials made some "lousy" calls.

After a dramatic comeback late in the fourth quarter, the Penn State Nittany Lions went on to lose their first game of the year to the Iowa Hawkeyes, 42-35 OT. Zack Mills (23-44 399 yards) led the Penn State offense with a school record in passing yards. The loss drops the Nittany Lions to 3-1 with a big game against the nationally ranked Wisconsin Badgers (Oct 5) looming.

returns as a starter at one outside linebacker spot but is limited to
30-something plays per game by an enzyme deficiency. Therefore, it is
important to have plenty of depth behind him. Gino Capone and
LaMar Stewart have both looked like solid options to also receive
playing time at that position.
Syracuse and Penn State are rivals again. After more than a year of
negotiations the two schools have agreed to meet on the gridiron once
again, beginning with a game at the Carrier Dome on Sept. 13, 2008. The
schools will also play at Penn State's Beaver Stadium on Sept. 12, 2009. Penn State and Notre Dame will renew their football rivalry with
games in 2006 and 2007. The Nittany Lions will travel to Notre Dame on
Sept. 9, 2006, with the Fighting Irish playing in Happy Valley on Sept.
8, 2007.
