The Insider LowDown: NFL Tickets Center Outlook: After a tough loss to the Super Bowl Champions in the opening week (New England, 30-14), the Pittsburgh Steelers look to rebound before their bye week against the Oakland Raiders. The Pittsburgh Steelers have the two hardest opening games in the NFL this year. If they can get a victory over the Oakland Raiders it will go a long way for their confidence and momentum because they have a bye week following the Raiders game. After the bye week the Pittsburgh Steelers schedule looks rather manageable as they probably have the easiest division in the AFC. Even if the Steelers lose their home opener against the Raiders, look for the Steelers to have a phenomenal season on their way to home-field advantage in the playoffs. The Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens, and Cincinnati Bengals is a joke for a division. But, the best part is that the Steelers look to be in playoff contention for years to come as these teams will need a miracle to win more than 9 games. Even though the Steelers have one of the easiest divisions in the NFL they will still need to perform against non-divisional opponents. Jerome Bettis and Kordell Stewart will be pivotal in these games. Both of these players take their games up a notch if the Steelers are going to end the year in San Diego (site of this years Super Bowl). If Stewart and Bettis can have breakthrough years while staying healthy (Bettis hurt for the final 5 games last year) the Pittsburgh Steelers will find themselves playing in a Super Bowl for the first time since the days of Franco Harris. |
